![]() WILDEVE is also featured on the CD-ROM "Wanna Get Interactive, Vol.2" (1998), with a soundclip of "Faithful Lover" as well as some information. Another sampler was released in Dec 2001 called "TEAM", a beneficial sampler against racism. This CD contains music from hip hop to rock, ranging from artists like well-known German rapper Phillie Mc and local acts like Irean. On the CD, WILDEVE can be found with the track "Borderline". 5800 copies of the CD were distributed in schools, youth centres etc. |
The
birth of WILDEVE in 1995 simply was the consequent
continuation of leadsinger Lili's previous musical concept. It's a pop
band which is captivating the audience with a powerful yet melodious
alternative rock & pop music, but which receives -- despite the
power -- also enthusiasm because of the atmospheric density of the
songs, catchy chorus lines and Lili's versatile voice.
Already back in 1991, Curt CRESS, Germany's top drummer with bands like Passport, Saga, Maggie Reilly etc, got a demo tape via Klaus DOLDINGER and noted the "wonderful" early demo tracks of the young singer. His simple conclusion: "Your skills are amazing!" However, she didn't just deal with genres such as pop music but also with melodic rock, dance and German pop. By then, Lili had already sold three songs to the producer of German pop singer Mandy Winter ("Julian"). Within the last two years, Lili's talent as a songwriter has even more matured. One could already hear that on the convincing debut album Touch and Go (1996) but also at many live gigs, which the band has played so far and will continue to do in the future. Just have a look at the pages with cd and live reviews. Live promotion was sponsored through the big German bank LANDESGIROKASSE. In 1999 Lili contributed some music for the track "Soviel mehr" ("So Much More") which appeared on the album "Zurück zu mir" ("Back to Me") by German female singer Nicki, released by Virgin. |

A little bit of
"history"...
On background vocals Tanja Eble joined the band in October 2001. She did very well at the first warm-up gig at the Goeppinger "OP". On the five string bass, Ralf Baumann gave the sound of WILDEVE the right finish from summer 2001 up to spring 2002; before his contribution to WILDEVE he played with German rock act "Schoenfeld" with which he also toured England. Unfortunately, because of his demanding job and therefore heavy work load, Ralf doesn't have the required time for the band anymore. 2000: After the so far last bassist Mark David Ellis, who already played with Cameo on tour and was the successor to Sandro Guidati, surprisingly decided to return to Kansas, USA, and drummer Hardy Philipp had left the band, session drummer Rudi Leichtle, who had previously played on the debut album and live in 1998, took the drummer's seat for the first gigs in 2001. On the first three gigs the bassist was Aljosa Osmanovic, formerly of OP3 jazz trio fame and in many other bands. In 1999 and 2000, mostly new songs were composed, arranged and recorded on pre-production level. For the recordings, WILDEVE went into the Gress Studios at Goeppingen (eg. Garbo, Bonash, Sunstalker; CD editing for Bob's former band Tea in the Sahara), and Artist Tonstudios in Pfullingen (ex-Marquee Studios) as well as Roman Schönsees Aichtal based Factory of Audio Arts (eg. Pyogenesis, Liquido, The Blue Season, The DreamSide, etc.). |
